U.S. energy department launch new project to accelerate sola

The U.S. energy department announced that there are five new research projects  designed to accelerate innovation, to reduce the cost of photovoltaic power generation and solar technology. The total investment of the project is $ 3,500,000. These investments will promote the cooperation of industry, universities and national laboratories, contribute to their common use of the U.S. Department of Energy scientific user facility. DOE scientific user facilities constitute a unique network of user facilities, world-class equipment and tools can be provided to 10,000 scientists and engineers, including accelerators, supercomputers and nanotechnology research center. U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu said that the new project will take advantage of the scientific user facilities to enhance solar technology in the United States, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of U.S. manufacturing and technological competitiveness.
